Sad Clown

Inherently Clowns are supposed to make you feel happy and carefree when wearing a clown suit you should feel joy and happiness however this series titled “Sad Clown” was meant to distort those preconceived feelings and take you to another time and place with feelings on the opposite end of the spectrum. I have been working towards more tangible art things you can hang in your home and were everyone loves a good 70 inch canvas print sometimes a smaller collection of photos is more fitting, so I set out to create a collective series of portraits with a turn of the century Victorian feel modeled after 1890-1910 family portraits. Now you can own the whole series! 16 4×6 Portrait prints on Metallic infused fine art paper + 1 bonus behind the scenes print wrapped in a custom dust cover. $49.99 $39.99* + shipping and applicable sales tax *sale 3.62017-3.29.2017

BRUMAL

February 18, 2017
by Blind7photo
What came first the chicken or the egg?   This question best describes my feelings towards art and life, what influences what? There is the old adage Art imitates life, but I believe life imitates art just as much. A few months ago I was sitting with the musicians from the band 17DED talking about their up and coming studio release and the Visuals needed, both photo and video. This conversation took an adjacent turn and we found ourselves talking about personal growth as artists. I’ve tried my hand at many art forms, including music. This sparked a musical impulse in myself, and I happened to have a acoustic guitar sitting around the studio. I decided to play them one of the songs I wrote when I was about 16 years old (somewhere around there anyways). It got their wheels turning, and within just a few short days they had taken that riff and turned it into one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard. I instantly knew what kind of treatment would fit perfect for this music video.  I began brainstorming while listening to the song on repeat for days. This lead to me concepting a lot of […]

The Hidden Ones

June 27, 2016
by Blind7photo
What started off as a project aimed for a art gallery piece soon grew to something so much more. It became a way to dive deep into my mind. I stand true to my mission statement that Blind 7 is based on the 7 core emotions and this series although incomplete for the moment makes me feel all of them, I would like to write a lengthy blog post about this series however I feel that this series is up to you to interpret I know how they make me feel now step into the world of “The Hidden ones” and tell me how they make you feel. :Meet the hidden ones:                                     All of the above images were shot using only natural light and we want to thank Eric the owner of the stunning House of Wills funeral home located in Cleveland for letting us use this amazing property, It has such a rich history so thick with turmoil and pain you can feel the heaviness as you walk these once well lit well taken care of halls. I would also like […]

DARK : HORST COUTURE

June 20, 2016

“Dark Horst is a new Horst Couture collection, a collaboration from designers Horst and Ms. Steamy. It springs from Gothic inspiration, starring subtle silvers, vibrant ebonies, and elaborate reds. Interchangeable pieces allow for customized looks. Pair it with an exquisite statement necklace by Ms. Steamy for an even more refined ensemble” – Horst Couture At the end of 2014 we here at Blind 7 had the pleasure of meeting an amazing designer Horst, and with in a few month we had set up to shoot his line at the time which created the first fashion series “The day Ohio stood still” after the year long battle to get it published we decided the next line we would just self publish, and that’s exactly what were doing here!   A few months had passed since the release of Tdoss, Horst and his lovely wife Jessica had been hard at work on there new line “DARK” and after seeing just a small preview I knew these dresses needed shot in a out of this world location. a few years back some very good friends of mine over at TIDY Photography and Abandoned aperture had taken me and my crew to Gary IN for a fun filled […]

årgang rariteter Series

June 15, 2016

With all the ups and downs of 2015 the year ended on a high note with us moving the studio into a new location, it didn’t take long for us to become excited about the new place as I personally am a HUGE fan of vintage things and our new home and studio are located in a 176 year old Victorian home located on the west side of Cleveland. with 12 foot ceilings and wide sold wood doors the architecture speaks of the history of this beautiful home real hard wood floors and beautiful ceiling sconces it was not only a no brainier for us to live in but a great place to show case my pre 1920s book collection, and with a living room thats about 20×20 enough room to set up shop. The main room for shooting came with some interesting wall paper its a very tacky 1940-50s floral print from floor to ceiling. Some people may think its ugly however my mind started rolling on ideas for shoots the moment I saw it. After the move in and getting settled a little I began to concept a few shots for the walls, My mind went to the […]

The Day Ohio Stood still

June 13, 2016
by Blind7photo
The day Ohio stood still: A Dark fashion editorial As with every end of the year I sit and think of goals for Blind 7, some small and some large. Setting goals helps push me throughout the year to grow and better myself as a person and as an artist. 2014 was no different, and coming to the end of December I had set a few goals for the new year. Looking back on it I nailed on the head. I got to travel more, I got to shoot new faces, and I completed some large projects. One of those goals i made for myself was to shoot a Dark Fashion editorial in hopes of having it published in a magazine such as Vogue or W. That was the goal i wanted to tackle first in 2015. At the very beginning of January I sat down and started planning this dark fashion editorial. I put so much time and planning into this shoot. First I found an amazing designer, Horst Cotoure. As my luck would have it, it just so happens he was local (that like NEVER happens). I contacted the designer and set up a sit down meeting with […]
